 Roald Dahl Dinner Party

Each course based on a different book: We ate BFG snozcumbers and frobscottle, Fantastic Mr Fox Mr Bean’s Cider and Bunce’s goose Liver stuffed donuts, The Witches pea soup with Formula 86, The Twits’ bird pie and James and the Giant Peach baked peaches with Manhattan's. We played the Esio Trot lowering the tortoise game, guessed George’s Marvellous medicine cocktail ingredients and played Mike Teevee’s guess the TV show quiz. We drank Matilda’s peroxide and oil of violets shots.

Indianna Jones Temple of Doom Bingo

Movie bingo night – cross off the quotes as you watch the film: We had Chinese starters with lychee martinis and a vial of antidote. When the plane started to crash we pulled in a life raft in harbouring emergency beers. In India we ate curry and played jungle poker. Once in the temple, we had monkey brains for dessert and played snatch Indy’s hat. Then we drank blood from the skull and ended with burning fiery pit cocktails.

Seven Deadly Sins Dinner party

We had seven courses all also representing a sin. Lust: oyster and artichoke aphrodisiacs. Vanity: Snow White’s pig and apple pies. Envy: every guest was served someone else’s favourite cocktail. Gluttony: Tournedos rossini (fillet steak and ethical foie gras) Greed: Gold lustre champagne Sloth: Sleepy malt ice cream and lavender shortbread.

Harry Potter Dinner Party

Our menu was a Hogwarts timetable. Quiditch practice: Golden snitch arancini and mudblood salsa. Potions: Brew your own draught of living death cocktail making. Free period: Pumpkin pasties ravioli. Charms: Spells quiz (winner got to see their pratronus charm) Care of magical creatures: Basilisk fillet (sea bass) and egg (sauce) Herbology: Mandrake chocolate mousse.

Student Night Dinner Party

Every course an extravagant version of a uni student classic. Lambrini martini and apple sour. Beans on toast: Blue cheese Welsh rarebit with pickled walnut. Smirnoff Ice: Lemon sorbet. Pot Noodle: Ramen. On the way home kebab. Moving beer pong and deep fried Mars bar with peanut butter from the jar ice cream.

Pulp Fiction Movie Bingo

We watched the movie, crossing off quotes on a bingo card as they came up. We had Big Kahuna burger spiked sprite, ate McDonald’s Big Macs, played shooting games and hide the watch, drank hard 5 dollar shakes, adrenalin shots and ate Marv’s face in a bucket jelly shots.

Shrek Movie Bingo

Swamp frog spawn jelly shots, “actually its quite good on toast”, took Welcome to Dulock photos, we held a tournament, decorated gingerbread men ate weedrat stew, had “ogres are like onions” rings, drank pinacoladas eyebal martinis and transformation glitter champagne.

Superbad Movie Bingo

We drank Tiramisu Martinis, “she used my leg as a tampon” bloody marys, Kyle’s Killer lemonade and Beer in a detergent bottle. We ate food shaped like dicks (hot dogs) and played “break yourself fool” nerf pong.

Mean Girls Movie Bingo

We drank happy hour cocktails, milkshakes, played the cafeteria seating plan game, ate Kalteen bars and “made out with a hot dog” and won super jumbo tampons.

Pirates of the Caribbean party

Follow the clues, take on puzzles and crack the code – a treasure hunt around the flat ensued. We played Liars Dice and match your key to the drawing of a key. To eat: Jars of dirt (pate and rye crumb), Jerk chicken, gold coins (Oreo ice cream), octopus tentacles. To drink: Black pearl shots, burning Tortuga shots, glass eye martinis and a mix yourself rum bar.

Matilda Movie Bingo

We played throw the javelin, lets get sticky with Mickey, find the M&Ms and guess what’s in the package. We drank newt cocktails, peroxide and oil of violets, book worm cocktails and Cheerios with milk.

Anchorman Movie Bingo

We drank sex panther shots, “milk was a bad choice” cocktails, “their periods attract bears” bloody Mary's and Big Foot’s dick cocktail. Played drink with a flute challenge, read the news and kill a man with a trident. We ate burritos and pleasure town desserts – we even had a pants party.

Rocky Horror Movie Night

We drank time warp cocktails, “there’s a light” espresso martinis, science fiction cocktails, “one from the vaults” frozen shots and rose tint my world frozen rose. We played the sexy silhouette challenge and who can make the best man.
